Q. Is the price cheaper? If I wash/shampoo my own hair at home
A. No, At Salon Jenaé our stylists are licensed cosmetologist professionals. It is in your best interest and our recommendation to have the complete service at Salon Jenaé to guarantee our work.


Q. What is a consultation?
A. A consultation is when you and your stylist discuss issues or new treatments/services/styles that you may be interested in. A through evaluation of your hair will be done and a separate time for service will be scheduled at that time.


Q. Do you accept personal checks?
A. Yes, Salon Jenaé accepts the following forms of payments; Visa, Master Card, debit, cash, and checks* (*stylist discretion)


Q. What products do use at your salon?
A. Salon Jenaé use only salon ready professional products: Affirm, Mizani, and Paul Mitchell. Home maintenance products are available for purchase at Salon Jenaé.


Q. Do you cut hair?
A. Yes, Salon Jenaé is a full service salon. A listing of all our services & prices are provided on our website.


Q. How should I wrap my hair at home?
A. You should always use a silk or satin scarf or bonnet. This protects the style and moisture of the hair.


Q. Do you do children’s hair?
A. Yes, children are welcome at Salon Jenaé.

Q. What are some of the conditions Trichologists treat?
Some of the conditions Trichologists treat are dandruff, psoriasis, seborrhea dermatitis, neurodermatitis, dry, oily or itchy scalp, all forms of alopecia, hair breakage, and hair thinning to name a few.


Q.Is Trichology a new science? I've never heard of it until recently.
Don't feel odd, there are professionals i.e. Medical Doctor's, Dermatologists and even Cosmetologists that are not familiar with the science, but Trichology is not a new science. Trichology was started in London, England in 1902.


Q.What is the first step in determining whether a patient needs to see a Trichologists?
The first step is consultation (analysis, diagnosis, etiology, prognosis, recommendation) this establishes the basis for treatment.


Q.Why is consultation so important when it comes to establishing treatment?
Consultation takes place at the forefront of all professions. For example, when one enters a restaurant, a waiter or waitress, consults with the patron in order to give the needed service.


Q.What are some of the other professionals Trichologists work with apart from Dermatologists?
In addition to Dermatologists there are M.D's, Internal M.D's, Endocrinologists, Dentists, Nutritionists, Psychiatrists, Cosmetologists and other Trichologists.


Q.I thought up until now that Dermatologists handled problems affecting the hair and scalp?
This is true in many instances. However, 90% of the patients that Trichologists see are nutritionally deficient, while others suffer thyroid imbalance and still others are challenged with medication. The hair responds like a barometer for the body. When hair is shedding it is like a red light for a Trichologists, indicating something internally is out of balance.


Q.What part does proper diet play in maintaining a healthy hair and scalp?
